The first radio lecture being delivered by radio from Tufts University, 1922 At the beginning, radio was promoted as an educational tool for the masses, the "University of the Air" was supposed to have more students than all universities of the country combined. At the first radio lecture at Tufts University in 1922 it looks as if Freud himself speaks into the apparatus of the soul - an anticipation of the powers of the libido which eventually destroys all mass education through this media?
